Chagdud Gonpa Ithaca Practice Group
& Tara House
We are students of Chagdud Tulku Rinpoche and his lineage lamas, Chagdud Khadro and Lama Tsering Everest who share a delightful meditation space next to Cascadilla Gorge, a beautiful park in Ithaca, two blocks from The Ithaca Commons. We are right on the TCat bus line and just down the road from Cornell University.
With the guidance of our teachers, we are creating conditions for others to participate and enjoy the wisdom methods of the Vajrayana Buddhist masters and the benefits that arise from meditation practice. With regular visits by our teachers (called Lamas), we listen to the teachings to learn the methods of the Dharma and with the support of the sangha, the community of fellow practitioners, we meditate, contemplate and bring the fruit of our practice to our daily lives with altruistic aspiration.
In addition to hosting several events each year with lamas of the Nyingma lineage of His Eminence Chagdud Tulku Rinpoche, we host twice weekly meetings in a relaxed environment of meditation, mantra and prayer and Buddhist dharma teachings with Lama Tsering.
Dharma Stream is a subscription service that enables us to listen to Lama Tsering teach in São Paulo, Brazil, via the Internet. When the Lama is not travelling, these teachings are live, and, if there is time, Lama Tsering will often answer the questions we submit online.
Anyone interested is invited to share this sublime and unique experience with us.
